I remember the busy time when the National Election Observation Committee (NEOC) was getting ready for the By-election in November 2019. Eminent person like chief election commissioner Mr. Ayodhi Prasad Yadav and former chief election commissioner Mr. Surya Prasad Shrestha were leading the teams. We were going to oversee the election in 37 districts with teams. The NEOC team, including National Observers and Mobile Teams, worked hard to make sure the election was free, fair and peaceful. What I remember most is the "Observation Call Center" which had been installed since 2017.
It was like a special election-tech-camp using technology to keep an eye on second to second incidents and make the process better. This showed how NEOC was serious about making sure the elections were done well.
