Embracing Nature's Call: Hiking from Suryavinayak to Biruwa

As I ventured into the wild forest, memories of my childhood came rushing back. In those carefree days, I used to go for grazing goats in wild forest, immersing myself in the wonders of nature. The leaves, whispering a romantic melody, accompanied my playful wanderings. I used to play leaves which output romantic music, singing songs and roaming here and there in the wild forest exploring every nook and cranny of the untamed wilderness, those were truly wonderful days.

Recently, I had the opportunity to relive those cherished moments during a hiking expedition. Our journey took us from the serene surroundings of Suryavinayak to the tranquil destination of Biruwa. Accompanied by a diverse group of talented individuals including poets, writers, film directors, environmentalists, and forest experts, our team embarked on this unforgettable adventure.

Starting from the Ganesha Temple of Suryavinayak, we traversed through captivating landscapes, passing by Ghyampe Dada, Pilot Baba Ashram, Lakuri Bhanjyang and Ranikot before finally reaching our endpoint at Biruwa. The journey itself was an extraordinary experience, blending the essence of our shared passion for nature.

During our hike, we took a moment to savor a sattvic lunch at the picturesque Sallaghari in Ranikot. Surrounded by awe-inspiring beauty, we indulged in the flavors of nature while nurturing our bodies and souls.

Our excursion was not just a physical journey; it was a gathering of creative minds. We held a poetry conference amidst the enchanting forest, where the melodies of birds serenaded our ears. The graceful dance of the branches above delighted our eyes, and the sweet fragrance of various flowers enchanted our noses. In this moment, our minds transcended the physical world, finding solace in meditation and embracing the spiritual energy that permeated the green and splendid environment.

The entire experience was a tapestry of memories, each thread representing moments that were not only memorable but also spiritual, beautiful, and profoundly fruitful. We are indebted to dear Abhayaji and Dr. Himlal Shrestha sir for organizing this remarkable event that brought together kindred spirits and allowed us to reconnect with our inner selves and the wonders of nature.

Even though we separated from the last point, but the beautiful memories we made will remain forever imprinted in our hearts. The echoes of our laughter, the serenade of the forest, and the bonds formed among fellow adventurers will remain etched in our souls, reminding us of the power and beauty of reconnecting with nature and reliving the joys of our childhood.

Memoirs of Bardaghat: A Week of Fun and Festivities

As the night bus left Kathmandu, the anticipation of our adventure to Bardaghat filled the air. It was the 4th of March 2023, and with Sanbhai, Roshan, and myself together, we were ready for an unforgettable journey. The night bus ride proved to be an enjoyable experience as we chatted and laughed our way through the winding roads. Each time the bus stopped, we relished the opportunity to savor some refreshing tea.

Arriving in Bardaghat early the next morning, we were warmly greeted by our dear friend Bijaya, who had extended his invitation for us to visit. Since his parents were away on holiday, we were grateful to stay at his home, which soon became our home away from home.

Over the course of 7 days, we immersed ourselves in the beauty of Nawalparashi district. Our adventures led us to several breathtaking locations, starting with the peaceful Tribeni Dham. Balmiki Ashram's serene surroundings and the captivating Buddha Park left us in awe of the region's cultural and spiritual heritage. The picturesque landscapes of Chisapani were perfect for hiking, and we even enjoyed a refreshing swim in a local lake.

Nature beckoned us further as we ventured into the local forests, indulging in picnics and capturing memories that would last a lifetime. Every day, the sweltering weather called for a cold beer, and we frequented a local cottage restaurant for this much-needed respite.

Gajaghra Dham and the enchanting Shish Mahal were among the other attractions that added to the charm of our visit. Armed with our cameras, we captured the essence of the oceanic beauty that surrounded Tribeni Dham.

One of the highlights of our journey was the joyous celebration of Holi, the festival of colors. The entire day was spent immersed in vibrant hues as we roamed through local markets, spreading cheer and laughter. Even at night, we couldn't resist the thrill of riding motorbikes to Tribeni Dham, adding a touch of adventure to our Holi festivities.

The thrill of exploration led us beyond the borders of Nepal, and we ventured into the local markets of Uttar Pradesh, India. Here, we indulged in the delicious flavors of Indian cuisine, relishing Chatpat, Panipuri, and the ever-popular Chatmasala. Riding TukTuks in India was an exhilarating experience that added to the excitement of our journey.

As we look back on our visit to Bardaghat, we can not resist smiling at the beautiful memories we made together as it was wonderful and cherished. From laughter-filled bus rides to joyous celebrations and exploring the wonders of nature, our trip was truly one for the books. Bardaghat will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we eagerly look forward to more adventures with cherished friends in the future.

Life as a Journey: Embracing the Musafir Within

I embrace the identity of a traveler, for I perceive life as a constant journey. This perspective leads me to understand that life encompasses both worldly journey and internal voyages. I find myself in perpetual motion, flowing like rivers in harmony with the rhythm of nature.

Sometimes a journey from the body to the mind; sometimes a journey from the mind to the body. Sometimes a journey from country to abroad; crossing borders and immersing myself in diverse cultures. Sometimes a journey from abroad to country. Sometimes, my journey leads me from the bustling capital to the farthest reaches of the west, or sometimes from the west to the serene east. I am captivated by the realization that life is, fundamentally, an interconnected series of journeys. As I currently make my way from the east to the capital Kathmandu, I am reminded of this profound truth.

Traveling on a night bus, an route from the east (Biratnagar) to the capital, I am accompanied by the cherished memories of attending my friend's wedding. As I reflect on the joyous celebration, I find solace in the knowledge that life is an ever-unfolding journey. This particular journey not only represents a physical return to the capital but also serves as a metaphorical return to the essence of love and connection that the wedding embodied. Amidst the solitude of the bus ride, I delve into the depths of introspection, finding inspiration in the union of two souls and contemplating the significance of meaningful relationships along life's winding paths. Reading my long-awaited book named "Man's search for Meaning" amidst this reflective ambiance, I am immersed in a state of profound meditation, blending the experience of travel with the sacredness of love and companionship.
